The Speckled Sow Butchery & Market is locally owned here in Vanderhoof by Matthew & Brittany Giesbrecht. Specializing in custom sausage making, domestic & wild game processing, this business aims to help provide “farm to table” food to the local and surrounding northern communities. The Speckled Sow travels between Vanderhoof & Haida Gwaii delivering products throughout the year. They work with local farmers & BC hunters to help with the processing of their animals. The Speckled Sow is also a licensed Farmgate Plus Slaughter establishment in the area. They have a small farm stand on the their property where your can purchase their meat products year round.
