Local Effort for Haiti Relief
The Rotary Club of Vanderhoof would like to encourage you to participate in a Global Rotary Club Project called "ShelterBox". A ShelterBox, containing basic survival items, provides dignity and hope to enable displaced persons to rebuild their lives.

Mining Web Portal unveiled
The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako is pleased to announce their Mining Web Portal, at www.mining.rdbn.bc.ca. The purpose of the website is:
- to provide information to attract, retain and expand mining support services, and
- to provide information to the mining and exploration companies about the Regional District.
The site includes interactive tools enabling you to post and view employment opportunities, as well as many other features.
More Recycling now available in Vanderhoof !!
Cardboard and Mixed paper are now recyclable in Vanderhoof. The bins are located at the south side of the Co-op Mall on Burrard, in between the Co-op and the railroad tracks. The bins are available 24 hours 7 days per week.
The BLUE BIN is for mixed paper including news paper, office paper, shredded paper, all magazines, wrapping paper.
The GREY BIN is for cardboard products including cereal boxes, toilet paper rolls, cardboard boxes etc.
Not accepted in either bin: Waxed cardboard (milk cartons, tetra packs, etc.), food contaminated products. The waxed cardboard drink containers can be recycled at NVSS Bottle Depot.
